An account was passed to Revenue Assurance requiring a disconnection of supply due to non-payment of bills. The occupant’s accountants informed us that the company that owned the property had gone into Liquidation, and the property was now owned by a new company. First impression of the supportive documentation supported these claims.
Revenue Assurance investigated further and revealed that not only had the original company not wound up, but that several parties were involved in both the old and new companies and were of interest to the police.
After liaising with our Client we obtained a warrant to enter and isolate the supply, and with the co-operation of the local police entered the premises and obtained actual meter reads allowing our Clients to recalculate their invoicing.
Revenue Assurance collected the entire adjusted balance amounting to over £57,000.
